Maple Syrup Festival

February 25-26 & March 4-5 2017

Did you know that it takes 60 gallons of sugar water just to make 1 gallon of maple syrup?

To find out more about the way maple syrup is made, come to Parke County for the Maple Syrup Festival located here at the Parke County 4-H Fairgrounds, always on the last weekend of February and the first weekend of March. At the fairgrounds you can enjoy a pancake breakfest, shop for your pure maple syrup, various maple syrup products such as breads, jams, cookbooks, coloring books, cookies and candies, handmade crafts, and so much more. You can take tours of our 5 maple syrup camps located around scenic Parke County where you can watch the process in action, from the tap to the boiler to the bottling and everything inbetween. Take this time to enjoy the area of Parke County and see the 31 covered bridges dispersed throughout the county, each with their own personallity.
